Clash Verge Rev
Installation and usage guide
Manage policy groups and rules for desktop connections. Covers installation, subscription import, everyday use and troubleshooting.
Get ready to connect
- A WahooVPN account you can sign in to, with an active plan and remaining traffic.
- Create a separate subscription link for this device using this format: Mihomo / Clash.
- Do not share your account password with strangers when installing third-party clients.
Use the Mihomo / Clash format. VLESS, REALITY and XHTTP availability depends on the bundled Mihomo version, subscription output and node parameters. This guide has not been tested end to end with a real WahooVPN subscription and does not establish that every node works.
Download and install Clash Verge Rev
Choose the installer for your operating system from the official release page below, install it and open the client.
Choose the official release for your operating system and processor. On macOS, distinguish Apple Silicon from Intel; on Windows, check x64 or ARM64. Open the client after installation. If a security warning appears, verify the release source before proceeding; do not simply disable system protection.
Create a subscription link in WahooVPN
Sign in to WahooVPN, open Subscription Links, choose Mihomo / Clash, then create the link. Copy it immediately and keep it secure.
Open WahooVPN subscription managementThe full URL is shown only when created. Returning to the management page will not reveal the original credential. Create a new link if you lose it.
Import and enable the profile
Open Subscriptions, paste the link into the subscription address field and import it. Once downloaded, select this profile as the active subscription.
Update the subscription and select a node
Update from the subscription card and check for download or parsing errors. Open Proxies, select an available node in a policy group and use Rule mode for everyday browsing.
Enable the system proxy
Enable System Proxy in settings. For apps that ignore it, follow the official TUN documentation to configure the virtual interface and permissions. You do not need to run another proxy client at the same time.
Verify the connection
Open your target website, check that it loads, then try a commonly used local website. A latency reading or enabled switch does not prove that all apps are routed correctly.
Everyday use
Once connected, switch nodes, maintain subscriptions and check routing as needed.
Switch nodes and policy groups
- Open Proxies and confirm that the intended subscription profile is active.
- Expand the policy group handling your traffic and select a node. If it refers to another group, check that group's selection too.
- Test access to your target website. Latency is only a reference; it does not guarantee bandwidth or access to a particular service.
Understand Rule, Global and Direct modes
- Rule mode selects an outbound connection using the current profile's rules and is a useful starting point for everyday use.
- For troubleshooting, temporarily use Global mode and select an outbound connection. It only affects traffic already reaching the client; it does not enable the system proxy or TUN.
- Direct mode is generally useful for temporary troubleshooting. Restore your preferred mode afterwards.
Maintain subscriptions and local changes
- When nodes change, return to Subscriptions, update the current profile and check the download and parsing results.
- Remote updates may overwrite direct profile edits. Before customizing rules, read the official extended configuration documentation and keep a record of your changes.
- After replacing a link, import the new address and enable the new profile. Remove the old profile after testing successfully.
Use TUN and exit cleanly
- If the browser works but other apps cannot connect, first check whether those apps use the system proxy, then consult the official TUN documentation.
- TUN may require service mode or system permissions. Running another VPN alongside it can cause routing conflicts; disable other VPNs before testing.
- Disable the system proxy enabled by this client before exiting. If networking fails afterwards, check whether the proxy still points to the stopped local service.
Having trouble? Check these first.
Why are the expected nodes missing from Proxies after importing into Clash Verge Rev?
Confirm the new profile is enabled, then check the subscription update result. An imported but unselected profile may leave the old one active. For YAML or field errors, check the Mihomo format and core version; do not hide errors by deleting unknown fields.
What if networking fails after enabling TUN?
Disable TUN first and test with the system proxy alone. Then check service permissions, other VPNs and existing routes. Keep a redacted error message and follow the official FAQ for your operating system.
Why is there no internet after closing Clash Verge Rev?
Check whether the operating system's proxy settings still point to the local client. Disable its system proxy before closing it; do not delete network settings managed by other software.
What is a subscription link?
A subscription link is a personal configuration address supplied by a proxy service provider. It contains information such as nodes, connection configuration and traffic plan details.
How do third-party proxy clients differ from the WahooVPN app?
Both use the same WahooVPN server resources, but their workflows and features differ. The official WahooVPN app lets you sign in and connect with one tap, with automatic server selection and smart routing. Third-party clients such as Clash and v2rayN load server configurations through subscription links without signing in to your WahooVPN account; available features depend on the client.
Which client should a beginner choose?
Start with your device: Shadowrocket for iOS, v2rayNG for Android, or Clash Verge Rev for macOS and Windows. Once you choose an app, open its guide on this site to find the matching subscription format.
What if an update fails or the node list is empty?
Check that the URL is complete, the format matches and the link is enabled, unexpired and not revoked. Also check your account expiry and remaining traffic. Confirm your network can reach the subscription service. Do not paste credentials into third-party online testing tools.
Why can I import a subscription but still not connect?
Confirm an active node is selected and the proxy is started. Then check system proxy or VPN permissions, routing and conflicts with other VPNs. Some nodes may use transport parameters unsupported by the current core. Successful subscription parsing does not establish protocol compatibility.
What is the difference between the system proxy and TUN?
The system proxy is used by apps that follow system proxy settings. TUN handles traffic through a virtual network interface and usually needs extra permissions. Routing and app exclusions still determine its scope; it does not guarantee that all traffic uses the proxy.
What if a link is lost, exposed or expired?
The full link is shown only when created. Create a new link if you lose it. If you suspect exposure, revoke the old link in your account, then create and import a new one. Revocation is irreversible. Check link expiry and account plan expiry separately.
